PULSOWEB
Web Application for Managing and Visualizing Meteorological and Hydrological Data
Main features
- Dashboards fully customizable by every user
- Visualization: charts, tables, maps
- Real-time statuses, logs, and network supervision
- SYNOP BUFR encoding / Optional METAR-SPECI module
- Data export (CSV, Excel, JSON)
- WMO/WIS 2.0 compatibility – ADL plugin
PULSOWEB is a web application for managing meteorological and hydrological data, developed by PULSONIC for National Meteorological and Hydrological Services (NMHS) and organizations operating complex observation networks.
PULSOWEB centralizes data collection, quality control, visualization and dissemination of observations within a single, modern and scalable platform.
PULSOWEB adapts to any context: secure Cloud solution or On-Premise installation in your own data center.
A unified, powerful and scalable platform!
A single platform for all your data
Meteorological stations, hydrological stations, surface observations, existing observation equipment… PulsoWeb gathers and harmonizes all operational data into one centralized, normalized, and consistent database.
Real-time supervision of your network
Status of observation stations, state of communications, alert configuration, technical logs consultation and archiving. Maintenance teams have full and instant visibility over the entire observation network.
Modern and ergonomic visualization
Customizable dashboards, interactive charts, multi-station views, maps, and day/night mode: PulsoWeb provides a highly configurable and user-friendly interface, allowing each user to organize and exploit data according to their specific needs and access rights.
Standardized and automated data exchange
PulsoWeb automatically generates SYNOP BUFR messages and, optionally, METAR/SPECI messages. The platform is natively compatible with WMO WIS 2.0 thanks to the official ADL plugin — already deployed and operational within several national meteorological services.
Collect and supervise
PulsoWeb ensures continuous data collection and full supervision of your observation networks:
- Continuous collection of data from your AWS, hydrological stations, buoys and environmental sensors...
- Seamless integration of existing networks through compatible import plugins
- Real-time monitoring of station status, communications, alerts and technical logs.
Quality control
PulsoWeb ensures operational reliability of observations thanks to several levels of quality checking:
- Automatic basic checks upon import
- Flagging and marking of suspect or incorrect values to prevent analysis errors
- Calculation of derived standardized parameters (dew point, sea-level reduced pressure, evapotranspiration, sunshine duration…)
- Option to add an Advanced Quality Control module
Customized data visualization
PulsoWeb offers fully configurable data visualization for each user type:
- Each user can freely build their workspace with fully customizable dashboards.
- Data can be viewed in different formats — time series, multi-station tables, comparisons, maps.
- Upon each login, the user immediately accesses their personalized dashboards and saved settings.
An optimized database designed for observation networks
PulsoWeb relies on MongoDB, a flexible and high-performance database perfectly suited to large volumes of meteorological and hydrological data.
It enables easy integration of new parameters, fast data retrieval through optimized indexing, and efficient storage of time series, technical logs, and metadata.
Depending on customer requirements, the database can operate in standard mode or as a replicated cluster, providing high availability and enhanced service continuity.
A resilient and scalable Kubernetes architecture
PulsoWeb is built on a resilient Kubernetes architecture, which automatically orchestrates all platform services: data collection, decoding, quality control, API services, visualization, and data export.
Kubernetes ensures high availability, automatic service restarts in case of failure, and zero-downtime updates.
Thanks to its integrated dashboard, administrators benefit from real-time monitoring of resources and modules, ensuring reliable and continuous operation of PulsoWeb.
