3029
Tipping bucket rain gauge
Main features
- Measurement of rainfall
- Very accurate: ±3% from 0 to 700mm/h
- Works without power supply
- Easy maintenance
- Robustness
3029 is a rain gauge designed to measure the amount of liquid precipitation accumulated on the ground. It utilizes two buckets with a specific capacity. Once the first bucket reaches its limit, it swiftly tilts, triggering a momentary closure of the electrical circuit and emptying its contents. Meanwhile, the second bucket moves into position to be filled, and once it reaches its capacity, it also tilts. A magnet, which is a part of the bucket system, activates the reed relay contact during the tilting process.
