Pyranometer
PULSONIC is offering different technology of pyranometer depending of the client's applications.
- Photo-diode
- Thermo-pile
Photo-diode Pyranometer
The pyranometer using photo-diode as a narrow frequency spectrum compare to thermo-pile. This pyranometer technology are mainly use in application that has no vocation for research or National Meteorology Network :

Photo-diode characteristics
Parameters | Values |
---|---|
Measure range | 10-1300 W/m² |
Accuracy | ±15% |
Spectral range | 400-1100nm |
Measure principle | Silicium poly cristallin photo-diode |

Thermo-pile pyranometer
The pyranometer using thermo-pile as a larger frequency spectrum and has an overall better accuracy.
The pyranometer are characterized by ISO 9060 Standard :
- Secondary Standard (Best accuracy)
- First Class
- Second Class (Lowest accuracy)
WMO-CIMO Guide is advising to use Secondary Standard pyranometer for research application.
Second class
The second class pyranometer are used in applications where photo-diode doesn't provide wide enough spectral measurement.
